Souley Vegan Owned by Tamearra Dyson a vegan and bay area native who's grandfather (Jimmy Williams) of whom I am influenced, was from Louisiana. I take pride in serving food that is not only delicious, healthy and hearty, but real food that you can consume on a daily basis with out developing poor health. When I started Souley vegan In 2006 I honestly had no idea of the impact we would have on the community. I was just doing what I had been doing since I gave birth to my son Aquil in 1994 "home cooken" I love to cook just like my mom, Dawn Williams cooked for the entire family, her brothers, sisters and also my Grandpa Jimmy. Holidays would always be at our humble home, though we did not have a lot of money, cooking was something that brought the family together and I can proudly say my mom did that. Some of my customers come to eat at Souley Vegan for lunch and dinner 3-4 times a week, so you better believe that I feel partially responsible for their health. I take what I do seriously and care about the people consuming my food. I am a vegan woman and a single mom who is genuinely trying to make a deference in the way we eat which is directly connected to the way we think....Thank you for reading........Warmly Tamearra

Is everyone who works for Souley vegan Vegan? No, but the Owner is and though being vegan is not a requirement for employment the employees are not allowed to bring in meat or dairy.
